Our “tuna” salad is creamy and full of texture and crunch with smashed local chickpeas, chopped cubed celery, carrots, red onion, and fresh dill enveloped in our zippy mayo based sauce. Enjoy this generous salad on one of our fresh croissants as a sandwhich (link here) made to order. Or grab some “tuna” salad from our self serve fridge for later, as it makes an easy side, or use it to top your leafy green salad or make countless sandwiches at home. Our “tuna” salad not only makes the perfect side dish, but in fact it is a bright textural delight that can totally stand alone and be enjoyed as is for a casual lunch or a snack. This salad highlights the ever trendy Chickpea. Why? Because of how versatile they are! Chickpeas are the shining star in so many wonderful dishes including our salad as we use chickpeas to replace the tuna. Chickpeas are packed with protein and have a great texture making them an excellent and sustainable substitute, plus we prepare ours with nori which adds hints of the ocean for a more authentic flavour. Best enjoyed cold. Everything made in house.
